About

My work focuses on building community through art. I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in painting and photography, and work as a freelance graphic artist, art educator, and organizer of art exhibitions.

In 2009, I began teaching art to youth from my home studio in a project called “The Art Garage.” engaging local youth to work on projects in a mode of self-discovery and collaboration. As an offshoot of the Art Garage project, I offered art workshops for youth and families in the city of Vallejo, CA. which led me to teach Art, Photography, and Graphic Design at Vallejo middle schools as a part of the Vallejo Teaching Artists program.

In 2012, I began working for Art With Elders and currently serve as Exhibitions Director and Artist Instructor in addition to providing graphic design, web, and communications support.
